Best Western Plus Monterey Inn

We loved the staff! Especially Tony on the night shift but all were so helpful and welcoming, the beds were very comfortable and great pillows! Loved the location, we walked downtown and to the wharf easily and no issues at all at night. They had a place to refill water bottles, great parking garage, very nice variety of food for breakfast and changed it slightly each day, loooved the barista machine in the lobby which included decaf, the pool was perfectly heated and enjoyed the hot tub after lots of walking. I wasn’t sure about not having AC but there was a ceiling fan in the room and we would open the good slightly on the balcony but would end up needing to close it with the cool night air. The hotel was very clean and nicely decorated, will definitely stay here again!

Good location, easily walkable to historic centre, waterfront and aquarium. Big room, huge bed, good parking. We were at front of hotel but road noise was never a problem.

Good location to see Monterey. Friendly and helpful staff, room and bathroom are very clean. American breakfast was okay, in Europe we are used to a European breakfast. Possibilities to make tea/coffee in the room or take it in the lobby.

Room was large with plenty of luggage stands, chairs, and a bench to put our things. Parking access was very easy. The staff was extremely friendly. Coffee 24 hours a day in lobby. Centrally located - not quite walking distance to tourist area but only a short drive. Breakfast had a different type of eggs, breakfast meat, and potatoes each day, fruit, oatmeal, toast, english muffins, cereal, and plain yogurt.

Overall great - I had a late check-in due to work and I was worried all the parking would be gone. Not to worry! They have two levels of garaged parking, the second which had many more spaces! Also one of the reasons I specifically booked this hotel was because I planned to have valuables/equipment in my vehicle (that were too large/cumbersome to bring into the hotel) and was pleasantly surprised by the hotel staff showing me they had cctv camera feeds of the garages they could view there at the desk as well as mentioning that local PD checked on the parking garages periodically through the night! I wouldn't hold the hotel responsible if a break-in occurred obviously but it still gave me great peace of mind they had these measures in place and I appreciated it. Aside from this aspect which was a major factor in my choice of hotel, the hotel staff was helpful, the room and common areas clean, a free simple but adequate hot breakfast with coffee and fruit was available and the walk from the hotel to the Old Fisherman's Wharf was a relaxed 15 min. or so walk along which there are many nice restaurants, shops, etc.
